About Clickholes
Clickholes is a map for wine information: vineyards, appellations, producers, and the relationships between them.
Why we built it
Most wine data tools are either spreadsheets with little context or polished catalogs with very little structure. Clickholes tries to sit in the middle: a practical workspace with enough structure to reveal patterns.
We care about helping teams answer questions such as:
- Which vineyards connect to which producers over time?
- How does fruit move across appellations and contracts?
- Where do we have strong coverage, and where are we missing detail?
How it works
At the center of the product is a clickable hierarchy (the “clickhole”) that lets you drill from broad regions into specific entities. Around that, Clickholes provides records, links, and operational views for day-to-day work.
Product principles
- Readable structure over hidden magic: relationships should be inspectable.
- Visual clarity over dashboard clutter: use graphics where they explain, not decorate.
- Progressive depth: start simple, then reveal detail as you zoom or navigate.
Current focus
Today, Clickholes focuses on vineyards, wineries, and appellations. Future work will continue to deepen provenance, contract context, and quality signals while keeping the interface calm and legible.
